Basketball cards from 1992 to 2002

Many collectors see this as basketball's golden age of inserts. The 1997-98 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems are among the most famous parallels ever made. Kobe Bryant's 1996-97 rookies, especially the Topps Chrome refractor, lead the era, along with Shaquille O'Neal (1992-93), Allen Iverson (1996-97) and Tim Duncan (1997-98).

Michael Jordan cards from his second run with the Bulls, especially rare inserts, remain hugely popular. Chrome and foil cards from these years are condition-sensitive, so high-grade copies are scarce.
